9am to 2pm
Children may remain at the Preschool to attend our Extended Day Program until 2pm. The children will move from their morning classes to the Extended Day classrooms to eat their home-packed lunches (the Preschool is a nut-free facility), have a 30-minute rest period, and an hour of instruction.
The children participate in a variety of science, math, art, and literacy activities. These many varied activities can include making paper, working on murals, and producing a musical play. (Seen hereThe Wide Mouth Frog was produced in 2013.) They often have additional outdoor or indoor play time and play group games.
The children participate in an inter-generational program with the NBRC’s Kirskside Senior Living home, bringing Christmas cookies, singing Christmas carols, and sharing stories in the Spring.
