The National Association for the Education of Young Children is dedicated to excellence in early childhood education and in their efforts to educate others, created the “Week of the Young Child.” This week-long celebration is held every April and at the North Branch Reformed Church Preschool we celebrate it with fun activities for our students.
Some of our fun themed days were PJ Day, Crazy Hat/Hair Day, and Backward Day – several of our little friends even walked into school backwards! Our oldest classes visited the Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College to see “Treasured Stories of Eric Carle.”
The children were excited when the big, green FUN BUS pulled-up in our driveway and each class had a movement/exercise class on board. Everyone had lots of fun sliding out the back of the bus, too.
We loved celebrating with our 150+ young friends and look forward to doing it again next year!
